Environmental Graphic Designer

Job Description:
• Responsible for leading design and collaborating with fast-paced interdisciplinary teams of architects, interior designers and graphic designers to deliver projects ranging from complex signage and way finding to fully branded spaces.
• Demonstrate exceptional vision, oversee projects from conception to completion, and ensure successful project outcomes.
• Experience in developing comprehensive environmental design and way finding solutions in a diverse range of markets including workplace, healthcare, hospitality, retail and industrial.
• Plays an essential role in marketing efforts, develops strategic, conceptual and developed design presentation materials, leads client presentations and nurtures client relationships.
• Effectively coordinates with contractors, vendors, partners and consultants throughout the design process.
• Reviews work and shop drawings for accuracy, omissions, legibility and for document compliance.
• Understands all code requirements in regards to signage in the built environment.
• Participates in developing and executing the Experiential Design marketing strategy to identify and secure new projects.
• Proactively seeks out new project opportunities and prospects.
Applicant Requirements:
• 8-10 years of experience in brand strategy, print design, and environmental graphics.
• BA or BFA degree in at least one of the following disciplines is required; graphic design, industrial design, architecture, interior design, or similar.
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and CAD Tools.
• Functional knowledge of conceptual modeling tools such as SketchUp.
• Proficient in all iOS/Apple ecosystem.
• Exceptional design sense—adept at developing creative up-front design concepts, storytelling strategies and branding as well as having the technical knowledge to prepare final documentation and artwork for 3D/EGD, print or digital applications.
• Excellent communication skills and experience as the main point of contact for clients, vendors, consultants and project teams.
• Ability to lead complex, multifaceted projects while exhibiting financial stewardship and adhering to demanding project schedules.
• Experience in reading and working with architectural documentation.
• Ability to work closely with design leadership to promote an interdisciplinary design philosophy and to facilitate its advancement both inside and outside the firm.
• Demonstrated success building, nurturing and sustaining client relationships.
