Project Architect
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and review consultant proposals for projects.

Develop internal project schedules and keep them updated throughout the duration of the project.

Be comfortable with creating design and construction documents for a variety of project types ranging from single-family residential to large commercial and institutional buildings.

Prepare meeting minutes, distribute project deliverables, and perform site visits and observation reports during the construction phase.

Working in a team setting and being excited to share knowledge and ideas with others, and to help others improve their own skills and expertise.

Work quickly, effectively, and within project timelines as either a design team member or project manager.

Bring a strong work ethic, sense of professionalism, and desire to constantly learn.

Work collaboratively with all staff and delegate and coordinate project work and serve as a mentor to junior staff.

Applicant Requirements:
Have, at minimum, a professional degree in architecture from an accredited university.

Have 7 to 10 years of experience working in established architectural firms (preferred but not required).

Licensure in the State of Texas.

Have a solid work history including experience in design and construction administration of public, commercial, healthcare, aviation, and community projects.

Be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office programs, as well as familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, is essential. Strong visual presentation skills and communication skills are also required.

Have a strong background in designing buildings to meet Building and Zoning Codes and other State of Texas and/or regional codes and ordinances.

Have experience in the permitting and bid processes.

Have a well-developed understanding of Construction Documents and the ability to review and correct errors in documents without supervision.

Have a passion for creative design solutions and problem-solving.

Have the ability to interact graciously with clients, handle consultant coordination, and interface with contractors for design intent follow-through. The position generally involves coordinating the needs of a client and outside consultants such as structural, civil, and mechanical engineers, as well as interior designers and landscape architects.
